NWRRC Owner Handler Program

Do you have the World's Greatest Ridgeback? Of course you do! This Owner Handler Program wants to help you celebrate that awesome pup and reward you at the same time, with great prizes and gorgeous rosettes!

We are a member-only program, designed to recognize and reward owners and their dogs for both competition sports – like Conformation, Agility, Rally – and activities some Ridgebacks can't get enough of – like Barn Hunt (going for the rats!), Scent Work (using that great sniffer) and everyday hiking and walking. 

The entire motivation for this program is the celebration of the bonds we form with our beloved Ridgebacks and fostering the human-dog interactions that lead to friendships with other wonderful members and their dogs.

New Title Recognition

OHP members often receive new titles on their dogs with little recognition. We wish to change that! For example: If you and your dog receive a Rally Novice title, a CD in Obedience, a NAJ title in Agility, or a SCN in Scent Work – we will send you a beautiful rosette in celebration!

Just email Teri & Cindi the dog's name, OHP Category, title, date achieved, and location of the event. Then we'll send you your well-deserved prize!

Advanced Title Recognition

We are also proud to offer Advanced Title Recognition for our OHP members! These awards are offered to recognize OHP teams who have persevered through time, training, and competition to earn advanced titles (as recognized by the AKC and other national organizations) on their dog(s) during their OHP membership.

For example, if you earn a Rally Master title, or an agility MACH, or if you Walk/Run/Hike with your dog a 1000+ miles in a year, etc... you can earn a beautiful, Advanced Title rosette! We recognize Advanced Titles in a large number of areas, so to learn more, please click on the Accepted Advanced Title link below.

There is also an Advanced Title Application Form linked below to submit to Teri & Cindi.

  • Members must join the NWRRC OHP to participate.
  • The points earned must have been achieved by the owner handler throughout the entire pursuit of said title.
  • No points acquired by a professional handler, or handler not listed as an owner/co-owner of the dog, will be permissible.
  • The highest current title in a venue will be recognized.

Special rosettes for these titles will be personally awarded at the NWRRC Specialty, the Portland Rose City Classic dog show, or be mailed to the recipient.

This recognition serves to honor the owner-handler team for extensive training and competition, as well as to encourage other members to do so likewise.
